Who are our tours for?

Our tours are for relaxed, open-minded individuals with a ‘go with the flow’ attitude who value creativity, culture, and connection. We take care of the logistics, ensuring your holiday is safe, hassle-free, and full of fun. Our guests are curious, creative, adventurous, and eager to embrace new experiences.

Our small group tours cater for up to 12 guests to ensure connection, inclusivity and flexibility. Please note that the tour will only go ahead once a minimum number of participants is confirmed.

We accommodate our guests in clean, comfortable and well located character full locally owned hotels, guesthouses, riads and dars.

A reasonable level of fitness is required as you will be participating in walking tours, which at times can be on steep or uneven surfaces. In particular, most riads or dars in Morocco have steep flights of steps with no lifts or elevators.

We suggest printing an information card in the local language, clearly stating foods you should avoid.

Yes, full comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for our tours and is a condition of participating in the tour. Your travel insurance will need to be sited before tour commencement.

You must comply with the health advice of the country we are visiting. It is your responsibility to visit your doctor for advice on vaccinations and medication prior to travel.

No. Flight bookings are the responsibility of our guests. Please ensure that your arrival is at least one full day before tour commencement so you can rest and acclimatise before we start.

We require a deposit of $1,000.00 to secure your booking. The remaining payment is to be made 100 days prior to the tour commencement in accordance with the conditions of our local suppliers, accommodation/ transport providers.

We accept PayPal, direct bank deposit or credit card payments. Payment options will be provided on the booking invoice.

Weather can be unpredictable from time to time. Although we will be travelling during warmer months, we recommend bringing cardigans, shawls, long pants, long sleeve cotton/silk shirts and good walking shoes and sandals. Please note that attire in countries such as Morocco is more on the conservative side and shoulders and knees should be covered.

Tips are included in the cost of group tours, with the exception of tips for waiters (for meals not included in the itinerary). We will leave it up to you to tip your host and driver.

First register your expression of interest via email (info@urumayatravel.com) and we will send you an information pack, itinerary and payment details.

Once the deposit is made you will receive an email confirming your place on the tour. The tour will proceed once we have required numbers. You will be given a full refund if the tour does not proceed.

Once the tour is confirmed, we will arrange a group WhatsApp chat or individual calls so you can ask any questions you may have regarding the trip. The group WhatsApp chat will serve as a way to share photos and experiences during the trip as well as to contact each other should you get lost or need to meet at a meeting point.

We can assist in organising your accommodation should you wish to arrive a couple of days earlier or wish to leave later after the tour.

Airport transfers from the airport to your accommodation are included for those arriving the day before the tour commencement. Return transfers to the airport are not included but can be arranged for an additional charge.
